Robert specialises in planning, highways, judicial review and aspects of environmental law, acting for an extensive range of clients including landowners, developers, housebuilders and institutions.
He has experience of acting on most types of development including residential, educational & health, renewable energy, retail, business park and mineral & waste sites.
Advising on the funding of development-related infrastructure through ‘obligations’ under Section 106 of the Town & Country Planning Act and in the context of the Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 has been part of his day-to-day practice.
Robert advised the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister on the ‘Best Practice Guide’ for Section 106 agreements during the 2000s, and has also provided strategic advice to the Environment Agency on the use of Section 106 agreements.
