He is experienced in acquiring sites for development/re-development for a variety of uses including business parks, industrial estates, distribution/logistics hubs and renewable energy facilities.

James has significant experience in the real estate investment sector, having advised on a number of acquisitions and disposals of assets ranging from shopping centres and retail premises to logistics and industrial estates.

Experience

  1. Advising a property investor in its acquisition of a large logistics hub for £9m and then securing a letting of the entire property to an occupier for a term of 15 years at an initial annual rent of in excess of £750,000.
  2. Acting on the £25m investment sale of a 1.25 million sq ft, multi-let industrial estate on approximately 60 acres producing a rental income of over £2.5m per year.
  3. Dealing with the investment purchase of four industrial units from a fund for over £11m.
  4. Acting on behalf of a large corporate occupier in the disposal of two vacant contaminated sites.
  5. Acting for a large regeneration company on the sale of bare land to a developer for £2m. The deal was complex in that it formed part of a wider ongoing development and considerations such as obliging the developer to deliver a link road, protecting the available electricity capacity to the wider site, surface water drainage and title issues had to be dealt with.
