James works within Gateley Hamer’s Infrastructure Development team on a mixture of schemes, primarily green energy projects with linear elements, including solar and carbon capture. In addition, James has extensive experience in highways schemes. He advises clients on landowner and stakeholder engagement, and negotiates and coordinates land access for intrusive and non-intrusive surveys.
James has a strong background in agricultural liaison and survey coordination having spent significant time on site for both rail and highways schemes. He also has site experience, arranging land access for extensive intrusive ground investigations.
James has always had a strong interest in infrastructure development and, prior to specialising in land access, worked for a large consultancy as a Development Planner in the Transport Planning department. He also has experience in traffic logistics and consents, as well as conducting traffic surveys.
