Gemma is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and registered with the Dubai Legal Affairs Department. She has over 10 years of experience advising entrepreneurs, multinationals, funds and family businesses across multiple jurisdictions on a variety of corporate matters and transactions including M&A, joint ventures, structuring and restructuring, investments and divestments and legal strategy from a corporate and commercial perspective.

Gemma has advised clients across a variety of sectors including but not limited to digital agencies, manufacturing, healthcare, industrial, technology, consumer and retail, and real estate.

1. Advising the shareholders of the Create. Group, a digital marketing agency operating across the GCC, on the sale of their business to Stagwell Inc.
2. Advising the founders of The Talent Enterprise Group, a global talent assessment technology business to Mercer.
3. Advising the founder and management shareholders of the Sanipex Group on the sale of a minority a stake in the Sanipex business to Aliph Capital.
4. Advised Laing O’Rourke on the sale of its UAE joinery business to Arco Turnkey Solutions.
5. Advised FourQuest Energy Group, a pipeline equipment, process and maintenance business, on the acquisition of Caley Energy, its first acqusition in the UAE.
6. Advising the sellers of UAE-headquartered Dear Systems, a leader in inventory management, to a US private equity buyer.
7. Advising the shareholders of Al Shirawi US Chillers on a 100 per cent sale of their regional and US chillers business to Dalkia (EDF Group).
8. Advised the owners of a prominent UAE money exchange group on the sale of its money exchange business to a UAE money exchange leader in the UAE.
9. Advised one of the largest property groups in the UAE in respect of a corporate restructure of its joint venture and development agreement framework in place with its joint venture partner in the UAE.
10. Advised Kirby Building Systems on its acquisition of the business and assets of Alghanim Industries in KSA.
