Dan is a leading partner in the field of strategic land and regeneration, with particular expertise in large-scale residential development projects, urban regeneration schemes, and complex land transactions.

His expertise extends to delivering major residential and mixed-use developments with both private and public sector stakeholders together with structuring strategic acquisitions, joint ventures, collaboration agreements, options and promotion agreements.

For over 10 years, Dan has built a wealth of experience working with national housebuilders, developers, public sector bodies and working in-house for a PLC housebuilder.

Having been tasked with rebuilding and leading his previous firm’s residential development practice across its northern offices, Dan has played a key role in the acquisition and integration of specialist housing development practices in the north alongside developing a highly successful team spanning Manchester, Leeds, and Newcastle.

Having worked on both the public and private sides of the industry, I understand the differing drivers and constraints of each, which allows me to structure deals that align with all stakeholders’ objectives.

I have a strong understanding of who my clients are and what they do. I place their business objectives at the forefront of all transactions assisting my clients in strategically positioning themselves for optimum future growth.

  1. Acting for the Vistry Group on the Sunderland Civic Centre regeneration scheme, the first city centre regeneration scheme that the Vistry Group had delivered nationally.
  2. Leading Countryside Partnerships on the Fitton Hill regeneration project in Oldham, a 384-unit scheme involving public sector landowners, PRS providers, and registered housing providers.
  3. Acting for Evans Homes, part of the wider Evans Property Group on the development of Skelton Gate, Leeds.
  4. Acting for Homes England in structuring a contractual collaboration agreement with Taylor Wimpey for over 1,000 homes in Penwortham, South Ribble.
  5. Acting for Davidsons Developments on the drawdown of Homes England infrastructure funding into their £1bn Broadnook Garden Village scheme in Leicestershire.
  6. Acting for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on the First Homes affordable tenure model.
