Expertise

Connor is an experienced structural engineer who has dealt with many insurance projects and private work projects during his time with Gateley Smithers Purslow. Whilst the majority of Connor’s structural and civil engineering experience has come from insurance claims on domestic properties (building fires, EoW, vehicle impacts, storm damage, etc.), he has also had experience undertaking engineering design on commercial and industrial projects and he has provided specialist design and advice services on historically significant/ listed buildings. Through Connor’s education and experience he has become proficient in analysis and design of reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry.

I help clients by providing independent, unbiased engineering advice and design services to help resolve insurance claims and progress private projects.

Experience

1. Produced engineering design for an underground car-stacker for a private client in Primrose Hill.
2. Produced engineering design for replacement commercial portal frame building for an insurance client following a large fire.
3. Produced temporary works design for 3.5 storey mid-terrace property for an insurance client following a bus impact.
4. Provided engineering design and advice services on a fire damaged Grade II listed building to an insurance client on a multi-million pound insurance claim.
