Chris joined Adamson Jones in 2014, having previously trained and worked at a London-based firm where he qualified as a European patent attorney in 2009 and a Chartered UK Patent Attorney in 2010.
He holds an MEng in Automotive Engineering from the University of Leeds and an MSc in Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary University of London.
His experience includes patent and registered design filing and prosecution work for a range of mechanical subject matter for a variety of clients, ranging from individuals to large multinationals.
Chris has experience of a wide range of technology including oil and gas exploration, power tools, medical and healthcare devices, and food packaging. Although largely focused on drafting and prosecution, Chris also has experience of freedom-to-operate assessments (FTO), due diligence exercises and European Patent Office (EPO) oppositions.
