Cara has 25 years’ experience in crisis and issues management and brand reputation protection for clients across multiple sectors. She has provided strategic crisis advice and response for a number of high-profile organisations and has been ‘on the ground’ as the first port-of-call for media in relation to major incidents at Network Rail, where she managed the media strategy and crisis management for the London and Midlands routes.
Cara’s crisis experience spans consumer and manufacturing product recalls, factory closures, contamination outbreaks, large-scale redundancy programmes and cyber-attacks. She has also advised individuals and senior personnel within organisations on media management relating to personal and corporate reputation issues.
For the last 13 years, Cara has headed up the national corporate communications team at legal and professional services group, Gateley prior to which she was the MD of a top 50 UK PR consultancy leading on strategic counsel and crisis and issues management for large corporate clients in the automotive, manufacturing, banking and financial services, transport and FMCG markets.
