Anthony is a real estate lawyer with experience in commercial and residential development having acted for various clients across the UK on the acquisition and disposal of sites of varying sizes and for various development projects such as shopping centres, distribution warehouses, office complexes and residential development sites.

Anthony currently specialises in residential development acting for national and regional developers, landowners, public sector counterparties and joint ventures on immediate land acquisitions & disposals, strategic land arrangements, regeneration schemes and affordable housing transactions.

Experience

  1. Advised a regional developer on the purchase of a 17-acre former ministry of defence site near Bath for a 204-unit residential development with a GDV value of £250 million. The project also involved delivering a golden brick agreement for 20 units of affordable houses & site-setup advice for plot sales.
  2. Acted for a regional developer on the acquisition of a historic site from a local authority for a mixed-use development scheme comprising of residential and commercial spaces using a conditional sale contract involving overage/anti-embarrassment provisions & an agreement for surrender of lease of part of the site.
  3. Acted for a national promoter with promoting and acquiring sites via promotion and option agreements on numerous sites across the south and south-west region of the UK.
  4. Acted for one of the UK’s largest crematorium developer/operators on acquisition of various sites using “option to lease agreements” and 100-year leases containing complex turnover provisions.
