Expertise
Anthony’s international expertise focuses primarily on the aviation and marine sectors. He handles all aspects of aviation and marine matters – both contentious and non-contentious (as well as multi-jurisdictional matters).
On the aviation side, Anthony regularly advises regional and international airlines, national governments, lessors, lessees, financiers, operators, aircraft management companies, airports, engines/ spare parts companies, and support service providers with respect to leasing, finance, regulatory and operations, insurance, chartering and associated matters.
With respect to marine/ shipping, Anthony regularly acts for PNI clubs, ship owners and chartering companies on claims and associated litigation. He also advises regularly on flag, class and regulatory matters.
His international practise is based primarily in the UK, European Union and the UAE/ Arabian Gulf. He has previously worked in Australia.
Anthony has contributed to several aviation textbooks including aircraft management, aviation insurance and aviation mental health. He regularly speaks at aviation and marine seminars/ conferences with respect to current regulatory and operational topics.
He regularly represents clients in the UAE (including UAE Courts/ DIFC) and English Courts, LCIA, LMAA, DIAC, ICC and other arbitral schemes worldwide. Anthony has been involved in several leading aviation leasing, insurance and liability cases which have been reported especially in the United Kingdom.
Anthony is currently a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society and a registered international mediator.
