When Leeds City Council urgently needed additional facilities for Shakespeare Primary School we were invited to convert the vacant floor of a redundant secondary school into new classrooms, staff facilities, kitchen, and toilets.

There was a timescale of just three months from initial inquiry to the date that the children would be attending classes for the first time.

Working closely with an established team of contractors and professional consultants, we hit the ground running to develop a design that would comply with the Education Department’s requirements whilst the strip out of the building fabric began. Just in time for the teachers to start moving in the final defects were completed and mission accomplished.
