Last week, trainee solicitors, Joe Girgis and James Allen, attended Nottingham Hospitals Charity (NHC) research dinner.

The charity helps to fund medical research, from dementia to childhood illnesses, and cancer to arthritis, across Nottingham’s NHS hospitals.

Over the past 16 years they have been able to give £10m for research funding thanks to donors.

The Nottingham office has chosen NHC as their local charity to support with fundraising efforts. To date they have raised over £3,000 and have plans for James to abseil off the Queen's Medical to continue to raise funds.

James said: “It was a fantastic evening which offered some real insight into the impact that Nottingham’s medical and research efforts have had – not just in the community, but medicine at large.”
