Leeds Playhouse has secured a new sponsorship agreement with legal and professional services group, Gateley.
The deal sees the Leeds office of Gateley partner with the theatre over the next 12 months including sponsorship for the upcoming Christmas production, The Wizard of Oz.
Leeds Playhouse, which sits within the city’s cultural quarter, reopened last month following a major £15.8m redevelopment, which marks an important new chapter for the theatre and this production of The Wizard of Oz is the centrepiece of its reopening season.
Leeds Playhouse artistic director, James Brining, said: "This is an exciting time for Leeds Playhouse and we are delighted to have the support from everyone at Gateley."
“The Wizard of Oz is a household favourite full of adventure, excitement and magic, which we've brought to life in a fresh and thrilling way. We can’t wait to welcome everyone to our reopening season.”
Leeds is one of nine Gateley offices across the UK and has seen significant growth and investment over recent years. Established in 2012, the office employs over 100 legal professionals making it the third largest office within the Gateley network.
Head of Gateley’s Leeds office, said: “To coin a phrase from the musical; there really is no place like Leeds. Like the Playhouse, this is an exciting time for Gateley in Leeds which is why we are incredibly excited to bring our two organisations together in this way.”
