We are proud that our annual business quiz has raised crucial funds for our two nominated charities.

Held at Ten Square Hotel in Belfast, the quiz raised £3,014, which will be shared between Aspire NI, a charity which aims to close the educational attainment gap between the rich and poor, and East Belfast Mission, an organisation which aims to give the people of Northern Ireland the building blocks they need to build better futures and opportunities for themselves.

More than 100 people representing 18 businesses were in attendance, for a quiz which featured topics including music, film, culture and general knowledge. McGuiness Fleck were crowned the winners, ahead of CBRE in second and Danske Bank in third.

This is the third year that we have hosted the quiz and this year’s fundraising takes the total raised by the event to more than £7,500.

Alison Reid, partner and head of our Northern Ireland office, said: “It was fantastic to see so many of our friends and partners from across the business community in Northern Ireland at our annual quiz, and we want to say a big thank you to everybody for being so generous in helping to raise crucial funds for two incredible charities.

“Congratulations go to McGuiness Fleck who triumphed on what was another highly competitive, but incredibly fun, evening.”

Jamie Curran, Growth Marketing Manager at Aspire NI, said: "Events like the business quiz showcase the incredible support Aspire NI receives from Gateley. Their commitment throughout the year, and in sponsoring our annual summer camp, plays a vital role in supporting us as we continue our mission of closing the educational attainment gap.”

Brian Anderson, Mission Superintendent at East Belfast Mission, added: “East Belfast Mission, as a local community charity, very much appreciates the interest and support Gateley bring from the commercial business environment.

“We believe that partnership between the public and private sectors, academia, and community and faith-based charities, can help address some of the social issues of our day. Our Hosford Community Housing, a housing-led project, is an example of this collaboration whereby people’s housing needs are improved by our partnerships.”
