Our Reading office has chosen St. Michael’s Hospice as its charity partner for the next 12 months.

St. Michael’s Hospice provides care to people suffering from life-limiting illnesses throughout Basingstoke and the North Hampshire area. The Hospice’s clinical team works tirelessly with patients to ensure they have the highest possible quality of life, whether care is delivered at the Hospice In-Patient Unit or by their  Community Palliative Care Team.

Ruth Armstrong, head of CSR at Gateley and national head of the company’s Regulatory team, said: “Every year our staff nominate the charities they care about and everyone within the business is able to vote. St. Michael’s Hospice was selected as Reading’s charity of the year and it is a great feeling to know we are going to be able to help those in need of specialised palliative care.

“The charity will be the focus of our fundraising efforts throughout the year, which will include dress-down Fridays, auctions and raffles amongst other things.”

Jackie Ridge, Head of Fundraising at St. Michael’s Hospice said: “We are delighted to be nominated by staff at Gateley as their chosen charity. The service we offer is a lifeline for many families and we wouldn’t be able to provide this level of care without the dedicated support from our local community.”
