We have advised Oakland International (Oakland), a provider of total solution packaging for chilled, frozen, ambient and ancillary services, on the sale of its majority stake in EORI Group to 360PAY. 360PAY is a leading provider of payment and supply chain solutions supporting freight vehicle movement across Europe.

The transaction will see 360PAY become the majority shareholder in EORI Group, one of the UK’s leading independent customs agents, comprising EORI UK, EORI Ireland and EORI Northern Ireland. EORI Group processes over 3,500 declarations daily to ensure supply chain continuity and regulatory compliance.

Oakland International, a founding partner in the business, will remain as a strategic partner collaborating with EORI and 360PAY in distressed load management, where it boasts an 85% load recovery rate.

Our team was led by corporate partner Will Bowler, supported by corporate solicitor Zhuo Li, commercial partner Simon Pigden and tax legal director Jo Dugdale.

Working with Will and the team at Gateley Legal on the sale of Oakland’s shares in EORI Group to 360PAY has been a pleasure. Their deep understanding of the complexities involved in the transaction, combined with their proactive approach, ensured a seamless process and a fantastic outcome. As our longstanding legal partner, their solid knowledge of our business and its priorities was invaluable.
Jeremy Hoare, Group Chief Financial Officer, Oakland International

Will Bowler added: “The transaction facilitates a successful exit for Oakland and will enable EORI to benefit from 360PAY’s extensive European network and complementary service offering. By leveraging 360PAY’s robust infrastructure, EORI can continue to provide exceptional service to its clients while exploring new growth opportunities. We are proud to have worked on this deal and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on all parties involved.”
