We have advised TickX, the UK’s leading search engine and discovery platform for events and attractions tickets, on its push to launch across Europe after raising Series A funding of £3 million, led by BGF Ventures. The funding round saw existing investors Ministry of Sound and 24Haymarket increase their backing.
The investment will be used to fuel growth across Europe, adding to the company’s presence in the UK, Ireland and Spain, add cinema tickets to its service, and grow its Manchester-based team to 35. After launching the world’s first Chatbot for event ticketing and its market-leading 3D seating map for theatres in 2017, TickX will also continue to invest heavily in new technologies.
The founders of TickX last year appeared on BBC’s Dragons’ Den and turned down three offers of £75,000 from the Dragons. Since the episode aired, over one million event-goers have used TickX and the company has now also raised 40 times the amount offered on Dragons’ Den.
Our team, led by Corporate partner Sandip Khroud, included solicitors Rebecca Bennett and Verity Mulkeen.
Steve Pearce, CEO, TickX, said: “We couldn’t be happier with the service that Gateley Plc provided as we secured our Series A funding. Their expert advice and personal approach throughout ensured the process was smooth and professionally executed. We look forward to working with Gateley Plc again in the future as TickX continues to grow.”
