We have advised Stock Spirits Group on its acquisition of The Drinks Company, a UK-based independent spirits importer and distributor, strengthening the company’s presence in the UK market.
Stock Spirits Group is a leading Central European spirit producer, with a portfolio of over 70 brands, available in more than 50 countries, with a strong focus on local spirits. The Drinks Company, founded in 1996 and headquartered in Horsham, Essex, has built a strong reputation across the UK, Republic of Ireland, the Channel Islands and the travel retail sector. The acquisition provides Stock Spirits with an established route-to-market, strengthening its geographical presence and distribution capabilities.
The transaction follows strategic acquisitions by Stock Spirits Group in France and Germany and demonstrates the successful implementation of its strategy to expand its product offering and reach in line with its goal to become a leading spirits company across Europe by 2027. It will also bring the UK distribution of Sierra Tequila under Stock Spirits direct control, and enable the UK launch of two new products: Sierra Tequila ready-to-drink cocktails and Limoncè Aperitivo.
