We have advised Court Collaboration, a specialist residential developer based in Birmingham, on a £127.5m funding package from Eldridge Real Estate Credit, the real estate investing strategy of Eldridge Capital Management.

The funding will support Court Collaboration in completing the construction of Edition Birmingham, a 581-apartment scheme in the city centre. The funding complements Court Collaboration’s existing project finance agreement with PGIM, one of the world’s largest investment firms.

Edition Birmingham is located near Centenary Square and consists of one- and two-bedroom apartments split between two connected towers, offering amenities including a swimming pool, spa, gym and terrace with a cinema screen and barbecue area. Phase one of construction is expected to complete by 2027.

Our team was led by banking and finance partner Jake Robinson, supported by banking and finance solicitor Harriet Price, trainee solicitor Oliver Shearman and residential development associate Hannah Hyatt.

The funding package from Eldridge, along with our ongoing support and relationship with PGIM, is a testament to the quality of Edition. Gateley Legal has been an invaluable partner in securing this latest round of funding. We are grateful to Jake and his team for their expertise and dedication, which were crucial for the successful completion of the financing.
Thomas Taylor, Managing Director, Court Collaboration

Jake Robinson added: “It’s been a pleasure to advise Court Collaboration on the legal financing aspects of their financing agreement with Eldridge. Edition Birmingham is a testament to their vision and commitment to delivering high-quality residential developments. This transaction showcases our strong expertise in advising on real estate development matters, and we are thrilled to have played a role in this exciting development in the city at the heart of Gateley.”
